Apartment building in the heart of Athens designed around standardized residential units that reflect contemporary living and sustainable urban principles. The modular layout defines the façades, creating a balanced and symmetrical composition around a central shared staircase. Front wrapping balconies extend the living spaces outward, connecting residents visually and physically with the city and with each other while maintaining privacy when desired. The design aims to foster a neighborhood-like sense of community within the building and explores adaptable spatial solutions suited to student living and smaller unit sizes.

The balcony operates as a semi-private threshold between the dwelling and the city. Wrapped in a green metal façade, it provides environmental control while maintaining visual permeability. Integrated seating reinforces the balcony as an inhabitable space rather than a residual element, supporting everyday outdoor living and reinforcing the project’s modular and sustainable residential concept in central Athens.

The bedroom is conceived as a quiet retreat within the dense urban context. Visual connection to the balcony and façade screen allows controlled light and privacy, while the restrained interior design emphasizes comfort, clarity, and adaptability. This space reinforces the project’s focus on contemporary residential living and climate-responsive architecture in central Athens.
